Will you support a site you didn't build?
Yes. Website Shield works on any WordPress site, regardless of who built it. The onboarding audit covers any cleanup needed to get your site healthy before regular maintenance starts. If your current site is a mess, I tell you that and quote the cleanup separately. No surprises.
What's included in "small content edits"?
Up to 30 minutes per month of content changes. Text updates, swapping images, updating hours or staff bios, fixing typos, adding new pages from existing templates. If a change is bigger than that, I quote it separately at my normal hourly rate before doing the work.
What if my site gets hacked while on Shield?
To date, zero Shield sites have been successfully hacked. If it somehow happened, I would remediate at no additional cost. That is what Shield is paying for: prevention, not reaction. Daily offsite backups also mean restoring to a clean version takes minutes, not hours.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Website Shield is month-to-month with no long-term lock-in. Pause or cancel anytime with 30 days notice. I would rather keep clients because the work is good than because they are contractually trapped.
What if my site is in really rough shape?
The onboarding audit identifies anything that needs cleanup before regular maintenance starts. If significant work is needed, I quote it upfront. No surprises. From there, monthly Shield keeps it healthy. Most sites need 2 to 4 hours of cleanup at the start. Some need more. I tell you which yours is before charging anything.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. 30 days notice and the plan ends. You keep your site, your backups, and full access to everything. No exit fees. No hostage-taking. If Shield ever stops being a good fit, you walk away clean.
