Set Up Your Docs Hub

Setting up your documentation takes one click. It builds three things for you: the page template your docs use, a Documentation home page, and a few sample docs so your sidebar has something in it right away.

Before you start

Make sure Divi is active, either the theme or the Divi Builder plugin. Divi Docs Maker needs it to build the template.

Set up the hub

  1. Open PC Designs, then Divi Docs Maker. You land on the Overview tab with a short setup checklist.
  2. Click Set up docs hub.
  3. That is it. In a second or two you have a working docs site.

What the one click builds

  • A doc page template in the Divi Theme Builder that wraps every doc in your docs layout.
  • A Documentation landing page, your docs home.
  • A handful of starter docs so the sidebar is populated and you can see how nesting works.

Why one template matters

Every doc you write drops into that one template. Your layout lives in the template, your writing lives in the docs. So editing a doc can never break your design, and only an admin can edit the template, which means your team can write docs with no risk to the layout.

Tip

Re-running setup is safe. The starter docs are only created on a fresh install, so a second click never duplicates anything.
