Publish Guard adds a final check before a high-risk page goes live. You decide the threshold and whether it is a warning or a hard stop, so it fits your team without getting in the way.
Turn it on
Enable Publish Guard in Settings and choose when it should trigger: on Critical only, or on Critical and Serious.
Warn or require confirmation
Choose warn-only, which shows a notice but lets the editor continue, or confirmation required, which asks the editor to acknowledge the issues before publishing.
Overrides and fail-open
- When an editor overrides, the warning is suppressed for that post for 7 days, so they are not nagged on every save.
- Publish Guard is fail-open: if the scanner cannot run for any reason, it does not block publishing.
Tip
Publish Guard is about catching the obvious blockers before launch. It is a safety net, not a substitute for reviewing the page yourself.
