Every doc is written in the in-shell editor, right inside the Divi Docs Maker admin. Open it from All Docs, either by clicking a doc or by clicking Add New Doc. Here is what every field does.
Title
The doc’s name. It becomes the sidebar label, the breadcrumb, and the heading at the top of the page.
Content
Your writing. This is the standard WordPress editor, so you get headings, lists, links, bold, images, and the callout and code shortcuts. Any headings you add become the “On this page” list automatically.
Status
Publish to make the doc live, or Draft to keep working on it. Draft docs stay out of the sidebar and return a 404 to visitors, so nothing half-finished ever shows up.
Parent and Sidebar Section
Parent nests the doc under another one to build the tree. Sidebar Section adds a grouping heading. Together they shape the whole sidebar.
Order
A number that sets the position within a section. Lower numbers come first. Leave it at zero and docs fall back to alphabetical.
Short Description and Categories
The short description is a one-line summary used on the docs home cards and in search. Categories group docs by topic for the home page.
Want the full block editor for a doc? Click “Open in WordPress editor” at the top of the form. Everything you set here still applies.
